WHAT’S NEW IN COTTON?

Innovative Cotton Technologies presented by COTTON USA™

What’s New in Cotton?™ is a global promotion program created by Cotton Council International (CCI) that showcases U.S. cotton in new and innovative ways. CCI works collaboratively with a variety of innovative technology companies to create U.S. cotton-rich products with enhanced characteristics and added benefits.

- CELLIANT -

Cotton-rich Celliant fabrics utilize a natural blend of minerals embedded into the yarn that are designed to recycle the body’s energy, resulting in increased comfort along with promoting a restful sleep.

Presented by COTTON USA™ at the Première Vision show in Paris, this new idea in performance wear is  an example of how U.S. cotton can win in categories traditionally dominated by synthetics. These are the first yoga pants and shirts that improve blood flow for faster recovery times while being super comfortable.

- COTTON CARES - Signature T -

COTTON USA™ has partnered with ADNAS and their SignatureT technology to create cotton-rich apparel that can be traced back to the farm where the cotton was grown.

Applied DNA’s SigNature®T molecular tag is a permanent and secure application that is applied to cotton fiber at the gin. This custom molecular tag enables forensic, fiber-level tracking throughout the supply chain and distribution process. Cotton-rich products utilizing the SignatureT molecular tag can be traced all the way back to the farm where the cotton was grown.

- DROPEL™ -

Dropel™ creates natural fabrics with the performance properties of synthetics through material science, textile process technology and sustainable chemistries. Their signature technology, DropelTech™ Cotton, is a water and stain repellent fabric that maintains softness and breathability, allowing your customers to stay clean and comfortable.

- INTECH ZERO-D® -

The ZERO-D® roll-to-roll digital printing solution with Reactive Pigment® is the beautiful, zero pollution, market-responsive colorant technology that the fashion industry has been looking for. Designers and brands around the world are already coming to Intech to print everything from popular patterns to denim, to custom digital artwork and photographs, on knit and woven fabrics. ZERO-D® leads the market in capturing digital designs and artwork on natural and blended fabrics with high fidelity. The design freedom it provides, coupled with unbeatable sampling and production speed and flexibility, reliability, and quality, is setting the new standard of what is expected in going from the designers’ mind to computer, to print and garment samples, and finally to market.

- SOLUCELL AIR™ -

Solucell Air™, owned by BYR International, is a patented technology that fills cotton with air by creating a hollow channel inside the yarn, creating fabrics that are light weight, functional and comfortable to wear.
